HOW SMALL CAN YOU GO?

Think about the things you use every day. Do you drive a car? Do you use a microwave or a coffee maker? Have you texted someone or watched a video on YouTube? Right now, you’re probably reading this on a phone, tablet, or computer. All these common daily items use semiconductors, which are made smaller and smaller through the amazing research in nanotechnology.

One nanometer is 100,000 times smaller than a strand of human hair. It’s hard to even conceive anything that small!

Back in August, the Galileo team started working with the largest publicly-owned semiconductor R&D facility in the United States – the Albany Nanotech Complex, part of NY CREATES. The ANC has an advanced facility where experts from all over the world are working to advance semiconductor technology. Galileo is thrilled to use our video production talents to help tell such an exciting story.
