Would you believe us if we told you we built this wall overnight right in our Albany / Saratoga Springs video production studio? Would you still believe us if we told you it was real stone and weighed over 500 pounds? Well we did!
For our commercial shoot with Deathwish Coffee Company we were going for an urban/gritty look. We wanted something that would look good in camera and catch the light nicely to create an interesting backdrop. So after a trip to the hardware store and a couple hours of blood sweat and many tears we built a wall! The final commercial looked so much better than if we had chosen to use a green screen or fabric backdrop when building our set. Here is a in-camera and BTS look at wall:
